The

Vision

Our vision is to offer an affordable option for parents to send their children to a fully accredited private school with sound academics and a Biblical Worldview. We believe in partnership with families, never seeking to replace or undermine parental authority but partnering with it to see each child equipped for life. We have done this for over 30 years hidden within Victory Life Church. Project Big will allow Legacy Christian School to stand on its own identity —the best and only option for accredited Christian education in our region of Oklahoma. By having its own building, LCS will be able to provide better security and safety for our children, have space for potential growth, and be a place parents and students are proud to come!

While our name is Legacy Christian School, we do not exist only for those who attend Victory Life Church. Our new facility will allow us to be more visible to the city and empower us to be able to better share our resources with the community. The separation of the school building and the church building will help us give access to our gym, fields, and other school spaces to organizations in the community that can benefit from them. These physical possibilities are of course built upon the foundation of what the new building will allow us to continue to do for our city: provide quality education and impart strong Biblical character into our area’s next generation of local civic and business leaders.

We have BIG dreams for the future of LCS! Project Big primes us for future growth by providing land-space to accommodate additions to the school building and corresponding additions to our learning portfolio, like: Distanced Learning Classroom functionality, STEM & Chemistry Labs and other labs, and Special Education Classrooms.

More than anything, the future of LCS students is extremely important to us, as they are the future leaders, servants, creators, visionaries and stewards of God’s Kingdom, our communities and of our world! That will always push us to continue to improve, innovate and grow in what we do and how we do it.

Giving Goals

The total cost of the school's portion of Project BIG is $5.7 Million. The Church is committed to sowing $4.7 Million of the funds raised towards Project Big to the school construction. The school's Leadership has agreed to believe God and to work to raise $1,000,000 towards Project Big to fund the remainder of the cost to build the new school buildings. The giving gauge you see on this page reflects the commitment of Victory Life Church as well as a tracker to show the progress of the school towards raising that $1,000,000 portion.

The Total cost of Project Big is $21.5 Million and the fundraising goals on this page are a snapshot of a smaller portion of that total goal, not in addition to it. The Stretch Goals are there to help us exercise our faith to stretch beyond even what the minimum amount is. Once the entirety of Project Big is funded, additional funds received towards the academy will go toward seeing those stretch goals filled.

FAQs

How does Project BIG fit with our mission?

Our mission is to educate the mind using state standards with an innovative curriculum that incorporates a Biblical worldview, to provide a conducive environment for Biblical character development through servanthood, and to provide physical fitness activities to enhance overall health.

By having its own building, LCS will be able to provide better security and safety for our children, have space for potential growth, and be a place parents and students are proud to come! Some of that potential growth includes Distanced Learning Classroom functionality, STEM & Chemistry Labs and other labs, and Special Education Classrooms.

When do you expect to have classes in the new building?

We are aware that there are various things that can affect the timing of construction, but our best estimate is we will have classes in the new building starting the 2024-2025 school year.

We plan on breaking ground on the new building in the Spring of 2022 and expect construction to finish in the Summer of 2024.

How will we maintain our normal operations during construction?

The academy will continue to meet in its current location for the extent of construction. There may however be changes made in regards to parking, drop off and pickup to account for any concurrent construction going on in the church building.

What is the total cost for the build?

We are aware that there are various things that can affect the cost of building (materials… labor… weather… etc.), but our best estimates project the total will be roughly $5.7 million by the end of the project.

This cost is only for the build specifically. Please see the next FAQ for the type of things not included in this cost.

What is not included in the total cost for the build?
Furnishings (desks, chairs, kitchen equipment), electronics, fields, STEM Room – robotics, Chemistry Lab equipment, interactive teaching tools. These are included in some of our Giving Goals that you can view above.
Will any of the money raised for LCS be used for any portion of the Victory Life Church build?

NO money raised for LCS will be used for any portion of the Victory Life Church Build. Any money designated for Academy will go towards the LCS building or those things listed in the Giving Goals.

Will there be any debt at the end of this project?

Our sincere hope and intentions are to complete this project debt-free. For that to happen we will need the steadfast prayers, faith, and financial support of our school family committed to seeing this vision become reality. Funds will also come in from the Church side of Project Big.
