It is time for our monthly progress update on Project Big. Here is what happened this past month.
Fundraising Update
As of Friday October 22, 2021 we have received $4,109,081 and have an additional $2,237,196 committed toward the Project. This is an increase of $76,884 received this month! Thank you for your continued prayers and support as we get closer and closer to meeting our goal. Oh, and by the way, the girls won the penny drive contest bringing in $836.88 😊. Way to go girls! The penny drive brought in a total of $1501.48
Dream Wall Highlight
We wanted to take a minute and highlight one of the submissions to our dream wall. Remember that you can post your dream on our website so we can partner with you in prayer.
“So many dreams and visions! But one that has already come true is giving to Project Big! My husband and I are very excited to sow into this and to be a part of such an awesome church family. Dreams that I see in the future- Songs being released from our Church’s heart cry. I see songwriters on staff like worship pastors. I see rivers gushing of praise to the Lord that heals throughout the earth. I see generational life groups taking place and reworkings of what it means to mentor and disciple. I see VL as a hospital for the sick to be healed in Jesus’ Name, and a place where chains fall from the minute people come. I see scales coming off of our eyes and vision renewed, and I see an oasis in dry land. Full of life-seed, just waiting for Living Water to grow it.” -Jessie Sallee
Praying for Our Community
Remember that Project Big is NOT only about a building project. We are believing and praying to see God move in our region and bring blessing and prosperity to our geographical area. We are praying for $215 million dollars to flow into our local economy. We believe we are already beginning to see this happen with some of the reports we have been hearing. One of our members shared with us that at a recent Oklahoma Tourism Summit event hosted by the Lt. Governor it was reported that Bryan County is leading Oklahoma in tourism industry growth. Wow! What an encouraging report for our region.
Prayer Team Focus
We also want to highlight this scripture that our prayer team has been focusing on during this season. “Bring the full tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. And thereby put me to the test, says the Lord of hosts, if I will not open the windows of heaven for you and pour down for you a blessing until there is no more need. I will rebuke the devourer for you, so that it will not destroy the fruits of your soil, and your vine in the field shall not fail to bear, says the Lord of hosts. Then all nations will call you blessed, for you will be a land of delight, says the Lord of hosts.”
